This 1988 BMW 635CSi was sold new at Schwing Motor Company of Baltimore, Maryland. Finished in Cinnabar Red over a Lotus White Nappa halfline leather interior, this example is equipped with a 3.4L M30B35 inline-six mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission with a limited-slip differential. The car was recently acquired by the seller in New York and was previously owned in Pennsylvania. Alterations from stock include the addition of Style 32 wheels, a modern head unit, a Euro plate filler, and painted bumper side trim. This E24 is now being offered for sale with a clean Carfax report and a clean New York title in the seller’s name.
The body is finished in Cinnabar Red and is equipped with world bumpers. Style 32 wheels have been installed and the seller recommends replacing the tires. A Euro-market plate filler has been added to the rear panel.
No accidents are listed on the Carfax report and the seller notes a 1” crack in the paint at the bottom of the driver-side quarter panel plus a touched-up dent in the driver’s door. Some bubbling is present on the passenger-side quarter panel.
The Lotus White Nappa halfline leather seats are powered and heated. No cracks are reported in the dashboard and a modern Kenwood head unit replaces the factory stereo. Per the seller, the A/C remains on the R12 system and blows cold, but the sunroof is non-functional. 104,773 miles are indicated on the odometer.
When new, the M30B35 3.4-liter inline-six produced 208 horsepower and 225 lb-ft of torque. The 4-speed automatic transmission features a sport, economy, and manual mode. Prior maintenance history is unknown.
